Emergency First Aid At Work Certificate

 Course suitable for:

 Members of staff who have responsibility for providing essential First Aid treatment in cases where numbers are less than 50.  The techniques covered are of benefit to everyone and can be used anywhere. Ofqual qualification equivalent to level 2.

 Major aims:

 This course is designed to teach delegates a range of essential skills required to manage an emergency prior to the arrival of an ambulance or First Aider trained to a higher level.  A certificate of competence is issued to delegates who perform to a satisfactory standard which will be assessed continually as students are trained.  Large organisations often use employees with this qualification to support First Aiders with the full First Aid at Work qualification.

 Synopsis of training:

 Role of the First Aider and incident management

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

Defibrillation in CPR

Treatment of choking, asthma, electric shock, heart attack

Stroke

Seizures

Diabetic emergencies

Treatment of minor bleeding

Management of head injuries

Burns, scalds and poisons

Fractures and their treatment

Maximum number of delegates: 10                                            

Duration of course: 10am to 4pm

 

FOAM ROLLER WORKSHOP

Have you got a foam roller and don’t really know what to do with it? Do the same old exercises? Or you would like to get a roller but not sure if it’s good for you?

This course will be held at the 4Most Fitness studio and includes a foam roller and handy exercise booklet for you to take home and work on.

Contents –

  • Breathing and Good Posture
  • Foam Roller Stretching – using the Roller to stretch with
  • Fascia Release with the Foam Roller – using the foam roller to roll out your muscles and fascia
  • Strengthening – using the foam roller to increase core and peripheral muscle strength

Cancer Care Post Operative Rehab Pilates

Every Tuesday join me for a Pilates based exercise class at the Lyndale Cancer Support Centre in Hyton. It is for those who are recovering from treatment or surgery due to cancer. The class is suitable for people who are at least six weeks post surgery or if their surgery was some time ago but who have failed to recover full mobility and musculature in affected areas. Pink Ribbon Programme Pilates Based Exercises for Breast Cancer Survivors

Are you or do you know someone who is a breast cancer survivor? The Pink Ribbon Programme is a Pilates based, post operative programme, developed by a survivor, for survivors to help regain mobility and improve strength and posture. It is equally suitable for recent survivors and those whose surgery was some time ago but who have failed to recover full mobility and musculature in affected areas. The Pink Ribbon Programme Pilates classes for breast cancer survivors will initially run at the Lyndale Cancer Support Centre in Hyton.
